At Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania, we help individuals with disabilities or other barriers enhance their lives. We transform revenue from our retail    locations and help individuals by providing education, career training, job placement, socialization, re-entry assistance, and more.

With a friendly smile and welcoming presence, Gerry greets coworkers and customers alike at Goodwill Industries of NEPA's Hanover Township retail store. Gerry      began participating in Goodwill's Small Group Employment program in 2019 and has made quite an impression ever since.

Alongside a job coach and colleagues, he has learned the ins and outs of sorting, organizing merchandise, and other daily tasks. The Small Group Employment    program allows Gerry to have on-the-job support while learning new skills and earning a paycheck.

During his time at Goodwill, the Dallas Cowboys and wrestling fan developed job skills and has made many close friends. Gerry takes great pride in his work and makes sure the store's paintings and pictures display is well organized and looks neat for customers.

With his positive attitude and outstanding work ethic, Gerry looks forward to continuing his work in Goodwill's Small Group Employment program while developing his skills.

Visitors to Goodwill's Community Participation Supports (CPS) program in Dickson City can't help but smile when visiting. Laughter and conversation fill the room as individuals work to develop social skills and make new friends through community integration activities. One of the happiest and most welcoming is Vinnie.

Vinnie, who has been attending Goodwill's CPS program for a year and a half, is very social and easily gets along with everyone.

While attending Goodwill's CPS program, he has learned many valuable skills include how to work better with others, share, and to be a good friend. A trivia buff, Vinnie is great at math and spelling and enjoys spending time with his family.

Vinnie is able to manage his own money and ultimately he hopes to have a job of his own. His continued participation in Goodwill's CPS program will help him become more self-sufficient, expand his social skills, develop new skills, and achieve his dreams.

Victoria has been making great strids during her work experience in the maintenance department at the YMCA in Dunmore. She has been in her position for one year and she came to Goodwill through Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs.

She greets everyone with an infection smile and is quick to make small talk. Her hard work and dedication shine through everything she does and Victoria is on the path to success.

Your gift can help us create a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
