Grace at the Green Light

A nonprofit organization

Offering New Orleans unhoused population choices while providing for their basic needs (water, food, clothing and community) in a loving manner that embraces the human spirit.

Since July of 2014, Grace at the Green Light has served over 350,000 meals to the unhoused community and reunited over 3,500 individuals with their loved ones.

Grace at the Green Light offers outreach services to the local unhoused population. Through Meals with Love we offer a free breakfast 365 days a year. We also offer case management and referral service for our participants to receive resources they need. In doing so, we not only provide for individuals' basic needs but also set our participants up to receive the services they need to get off the streets. Included in our Meals With Love program is a clothing closet that is open multiple times a week for our unhoused population to receive free clothing & hygiene items.

Our Going Home Program provides a bus or train ticket for participants to return home to a loved on and get off the streets. We ensure that our participants are returning to a safe place and will remain off the streets by contacting the loved one they are returning to and follow up for 3 months after reunification.
