Gregg County Historical Museum

To preserve, exhibit and protect, for public education and enjoyment, the historical heritage of Gregg County.

We are a county history museum located in the historic Everett Building on Fredonia Street in downtown Longview. The museum was chartered in 1966 and the Everett Building was donated to by Mrs. Ann lacy Crain to house the museum. The museum opened its doors in 1984. We showcase history from Gregg County. This includes a history of Gregg County, Rangerettes, Dalton Gang, Balloon Glow, Buddy Calvin Jones Caddo Indian Collection, Printing Presses, Replica Log Cabin, Arthur Northcutt Brown Military Collection, Kids Zone Interactive Children's area. The museum is open Tuesday-Friday 10-4, Saturday 10-2. Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for Senior Citizens 60+ and $1 for kids and students.
