Gods Vast Resources dba GVRConnect and Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry

Connect individuals and organizations, provide resources, and together meet the needs in our community.

GVR has three programs that are critical to the sustenance and well-being of our clients. First, the Tucson Neighborhood Food Pantry (TNFP) is currently distributing approximately 14,000 lbs. of food per month at 700 client visits. In addition to food, we also distribute household and personal essentials such as toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, feminine hygiene, baby essentials and pet food. In 2016, TNFP served clients with 140,000 lbs of food at over 6,000 visits. Second, the GVR Mobile Resource Center (MRC) supplies clothing, shoes, outerwear, undergarments, hygiene items, baby essentials and non-perishable food. In addition to serving the individuals and families in our east Tucson community, we serve the homeless on a quarterly basis. We partner with public and private schools as well to serve students and their families during special school functions. In 2016, GVR distributed over 2,500 lbs of clothing at 30 events, serving over 400 families. Third, a jobs training course, developed and taught by community business leaders, assist unemployed individuals in preparing resumes, obtaining interviews and locating employment. We are 100% privately funded, and operated by approx. 60 volunteers. We are supported by partnerships with community-minded organizations like Walmart, Family Dollar, Sprouts, Safeway, Rincon Valley Farmers Market, and Dietz K-8 School.
