Mission & Vision

MISSION: Empowering high-achieving, underserved young leaders to thrive in college and beyond.

VISION: A community of ethical leaders who break barriers to build an equitable society.

Description

Inspired by Alexander Hamilton’s legacy of leadership through service, Alexander Hamilton Scholars (AHS) empowers high-achieving, underserved students via a comprehensive network of support and guidance as they transition from high school to college, and college to career.

Each year, AHS selects 35 underserved high school juniors for the Hamilton Award. These Scholars — lovingly nicknamed "Hammies" — are exemplary individuals for their academic, personal, service, and entrepreneurial accomplishments. Students then enter the Empowerment Program alongside fellow cohort members — peers who will learn and grow together over the next five years, but make for connections that last a lifetime.
