Haven Recovery Gives Back

NEWEST ENDEAVOR: Expand Missouri's first Recuperative Care center! 

Recuperative Care is acute and post-acute care for people experiencing homelessness who are too ill or frail to recover from an illness or injury on the streets or in a shelter, but who do not require hospital-level care. This short-term residential care allows individuals experiencing homelessness the opportunity to rest, recover, and heal in a safe environment while accessing medical care and other supportive services. 

Other Focuses: 

Raise and provide funds for treatment, recovery services, or other immediate needs for individuals needing services and lacking the funds to receive them {including substance use services but also inclusive of other medical, emotional and physical needs};

Provide treatment connections, referrals and free groups to individuals and families in need;

Hold events and activities for local community members along with those in recovery, developing a stronger sense of community and connection and decreasing stigma;

Provide funeral assistance and planning after overdoses and support families during this unfortunate and difficult time;

Give back to the community through educational events;

Provide support and take initiative in outcomes based research of substance use disorder treatment, recovery and services to provide the public with a greater understanding of long-term recovery and ensure quality services for those in need.
