Hawley Public Library

A nonprofit organization

For 65 years, the Hawley Public Library has been at the heart of our community—beginning on Betty Howells’ back porch and growing into a vibrant, welcoming space for learning and connection.

Today, the library provides free access to books, DVDs, eBooks, audiobooks, and digital resources, along with programs for all ages—from Preschool Storytime and Kids Art Club to Chair Yoga and Yak N Yarn. Our Kids Makerspace sparks creativity, and our computers, WiFi, and tech help ensure that everyone can stay connected.

But what many don’t realize is that 52% of our funding comes from donations and fundraising—and none of it is guaranteed.

Your support during NEPA Gives helps us:

  • Keep programs free and accessible
  • Maintain essential services like internet and technology access
  • Provide a safe, welcoming space for our entire community
  • Continue serving Hawley for generations to come

From a handful of shared books to a cornerstone of our community, the Hawley Public Library has always depended on the generosity of people like you.

Be part of our next chapter. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
