Heartworm Project

A nonprofit organization

The Heartworm Project is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides medical care for shelter animals in need. Founded in 2004, the original purpose was to treat heartworm positive dogs at local shelters who were scheduled to be euthanized because of their illness. Since inception, we have expanded to include dogs and cats of all ages who need medical intervention that shelters are not capable of providing.

Collaborate with municipal shelters to reduce euthanasia rates in the Midlands, to assist with the Midlands becoming a NO KILL community. This collaborative effort includes providing medical care and rescuing dogs and cats from the shelters who are not suitable for adoption in the public shelter environment, either because of age, medical needs or temperament.

ONE BOX OF IMMITICIDE/DIROBANF IS $280, and WILL TREAT (4) 25 POUND DOGS, OR (2) 55 POUND DOGS, OR (1) 110 POUND DOG.

$20 Donation will cover a portion of monthly care for dogs and cats in our Hospice Program.
