Holy Spirit School

For iGiveCatholic, Holy Spirit School is asking for your help in raising funds for the installation of 22 new wireless internet access points in our school building.  The cost for this project is $30,000.  Our current wireless access points were installed at a time when our internet needs were much less.  We now have 1:1 technology access for all students and teachers, as well as Clevertouch boards in every classroom that run a variety of software programs, live streaming and more.  As the technology needs of our school grow, reliable internet access is critical in classrooms.  With your help, we can provide the student and facility of Holy Spirit School with a connected, resource-rich educational environment that prepares our next generation for a digital world.

Internet access points are crucial in schools for several reasons:

• Enhanced Learning Opportunities: They provide students and teachers with access to a wide range of online resources, including educational tools, research materials, and digital textbooks, which enrich the learning experience.
• Collaboration: Access points enable students and staff to collaborate in real-time, sharing documents, working on group projects, and participating in online discussions.
• Technology Integration: Modern teaching methods often rely on digital tools such as Clevertouch boards, tablets, and online assessments, such as MAP Testing, all of which require reliable internet access.
• Administrative Efficiency: School administration relies on internet access for communication, record-keeping, and managing day-to-day operations effectively.
• Professional Development: Teachers can access online courses, webinars, and educational communities for continuous professional growth.
