Honeybee Hollow Children's Center

Honeybee Hollow Children's Center began as a small family childcare in Swanzey NH in 2017. Over the last 8 years, we have grown into a licensed non-profit childcare center offering nature inspired, play based learning and exploration for children ages 6 weeks-12 years. 

Honeybee Hollow's mission and vision is to create a high quality, affordable, home like childcare and preschool environment. This program is enhanced by natural, seasonal experiences, indoors and outdoors, to encourage creativity, inquiry and discovery. We support a strong connection to the natural world and encourage family and community involvement.  We hope to create a program full of peace, love, wonder, and mud. Honeybee Hollow Children’s Center strives to maintain a strong organizational structure and will continue to improve and expand its programs to satisfy the child care and educational needs of the community.

At Honeybee Hollow we believe…. 

In focusing on the whole child, allowing them time to grow and learn at their own pace.

That young children learn best through play.

Play is a tool for cognitive, social, and emotional growth. 

Children have an innate curiosity to learn. 

They are born naturalist and use all of their senses to explore their world.

In using hands-on, nature based experiences to foster early literacy and math skills and to instill a sense of wonder.

Communication and building respectful, trusting relationships between parents and teachers is necessary to provide quality care and to meet the family’s needs.

In dancing in the rain, puddle jumping, and making mud pies.

We're hoping donations received during NH Gives will help us update furniture for our growing classrooms, add new features to our play yard, purchase new outdoor gear for the children and staff, and offer more professional development opportunities just to name a few things!
