Hootie's Rescue Haven

This year we have a specific need.  Just got a call from an adopter who has adopted 2 goats along with a great pyrenees over the years and recently adopted Shifty, Doug's cat.  He has recently acquired 2 emus that are not getting along with the rest of his crew and so has requested rescue from us.  We are going to convert Hamlet's old yard (our pig friend who passed a few years ago) to an emu enclosure.  Hammies old house is too small for the emus and so a new shelter for them will be built that has 6' doors that can accommodate our new friends, Barbara and Larry. Refitting the enclosure will cost $2500.  We are hoping that , with your help, we can raise the needed funds through GiveSTL.  Please share this post to your peeps so we can give these kiddos a great home.  They are 10 weeks old now and already 2' tall!!  Refitting should be done by the end of May and we will need to see if someone has a small horse trailer and can help us move these birds from Foristell to the farm here in St. Clair.  Emus can approach 6' and 100#s so not sure how large they will be by the end of next month.  As always, we cannot rescue without your help and support.  Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help us with this rescue.
