Hope for Texarkana

Our mission at Hope for Texarkana is to empower individuals, families, and communities by giving hope to those in need. We desire to see the quality of their lives enhanced in every way. We believe it takes a community working together to provide food and educational resources to create transformations for those who need support.

We believe we offer two services that no one in town is currently providing. While there are several organizations that have food closets, these are only open certain times of day, or even once a week or month. Our Blessing Boxes are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that if someone is hungry and can get to one of our boxes, they will hopefully get food. As our leaders are educators, we also recognize that many parents get overwhelmed in dealing with educational institutions and give up due to lack of understanding. Their children, our kids, our future, are many times not getting the supports they need because schools have uncertified teachers and most all teachers are just trying to survive. Accommodations and modifications can easily be overlooked and that means students are failing. We have the knowledge and desire to help parents ask the right questions and educate them on being stronger voices for their children. Please consider helping us cover needed funding to get additional training to better prepare them with ongoing changes with laws and marketing to those who need help.
