Hope Extreme provides holistic, revitalizing, and life-changing programs that empower the marginalized and under-resourced with Hope.

Hope Extreme is a faith based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth in the east Houma area. From its beginning in 2007, Hope Extreme has made great strides in meeting the educational, physical and emotional needs of children long-neglected by a society who views them as destined for lives of poverty.

Through our signature After School education program and Summer Reading program as well as Hope Gardens, Teen Services, and Hope Serves, the lives of many youth in Houma's urban communities have been radically changed. Hope Extreme workers are committed to educate, love, and inspire children to emerge as leaders of their generation.

But we're not stopping with what has already been accomplished. Our absolute focus on the well-being of the body, mind and soul of every child we come into contact with drives us in our pursuit of a radically changed youth population

Should we tell you the story of Christian, a two-year student here at Hope Extreme? Coming from Vietnam and being enrolled in our program within the first week of coming to America, he knew no English. None. Good thing he started in the summer though, because we were able to start at the beginning with flash cards and sight words. And he listened. Not only that he learned. And though he started off with poor grades because of the language barrier he now is on the A/B honor roll every nine weeks. That's change you can believe in.
