Hammond Regional Arts Center

A nonprofit organization

The Hammond Regional Arts Center serves as a vibrant hub for the arts in downtown Hammond, offering diverse exhibitions, educational programs, and live events that engage the community.

HRAC's gallery spaces provide a platform for artists at all stages of their careers. The Main Gallery, established in 1982, is the heart of HRAC's exhibition space, hosting a rotating selection of local and regional artists. The Mezzanine Gallery, introduced in 2019, spotlights emerging artists in an intimate setting. In 2024, HRAC introduced the Free Little Art Gallery, an interactive, open-access space where the community can take or leave small pieces of artwork, encouraging creative exchange.

HRAC's ARTisTRY education programming fosters creativity through hands-on learning experiences. Monthly classes cater to kids, teens and adults, along with specialty workshops and summer camps offering immersive instruction in visual arts, dance and theatre. The ARTisTRY Summer Camp welcomes children ages 6-12 for a multi-disciplinary exploration of the arts. Over 300 students participated in HRAC programs last year.

Testimonials

Leisa and I have loved and appreciated the arts all our lives... Having an active arts community that is nurtured by an organization like HRAC is a tremendous benefit to our area's quality of living. The work you continue to do in building a platform for artists and art lovers of all mediums is one of the main reasons we choose to support HRAC. Well Done! Tangipahoa is stronger with an active arts community!
