IDEA Public Schools New Orleans

IDEA Public Schools prepares students from under-served communities for success in college and citizenship and is committed to developing students' academic, social, and leadership characteristics to apply, matriculate, and succeed in college.

In the fall of 2019, IDEA Oscar Dunn opened its classrooms to grades K-5 in New Orleans East in the Frances Gaudet Building. Next year we will add grades 6 and 7. When fully scaled, we will grow to serve grades K-12..

At IDEA, we do 'whatever it takes' to prepare students for success in college and beyond. We offer individualized learning through small learning groups in grades K-2 and daily access to technology, every student learns at the level and speed just right for them.

IDEA Oscar Dunn is equipped with dedicated and local leaders creating a family environment. Our teachers bring subject matter expertise and an unwavering commitment to giving 100 percent to setting each student on a path to success.
