Image Changers, Inc

Image Changers, Inc. (IC) is a community development corporation. Our organization works closely with corporate, education, civic, and other non-profit partners to offer services and generate solutions to problems for residents in our community. We support residents by offering or connecting them with innovative programs and services that can put them on the path to success. Mastering Academics Through Tutoring (MATT) is our comprehensive tutoring program for Caddo Parish students, grades 0-12. MATT is in its 9th year of operation, thus demonstrating success and sustainability. The program provides tutoring and a life skills component. We have conducted book drives and donate books to the students at Pine Grove Elementary and hosted a book giveaway during National Night Out.  Homeownership is still the American Dream. IC has offered a series of first-time homebuyers classes. Attendees were also offered credit counselling. Image Changers has constructed 5 new homes. We have acquired 12 lots for future home construction. Image Changers, Inc. installed bus stop benches, a bus stop shelter, and constructed "The Field of Dreams" (FOD) community park featuring a softball field, basketball court, playground equipment and picnic tables. We host the annual National Night Out block part at FOD, winning an award from the City of Shreveport in 2022.  IC works closely with community stakeholders to build a stronger and more resilient community.
