At Ininan Marianas, we are passionately dedicated to preserving the vibrant Chamoru heritage, ensuring it thrives for every generation that follows. We are open to all who want to learn about our culture. We empower our youth and all ages by immersing them in the richness of Chamoru traditions, language, Bailan Chamoru, singing, and chanting. We have two programs throughout the year: Bailan Chamoru, which is taught from January to July, and Chamoru history and language, from September to December. Even those in the Chamoru diaspora far from the Marianas Islands can discover their roots and connect with this profound history, right here in San Antonio, Texas. We stand firm against the tide of extinction, ignited by a fervent belief that the Chamoru language, despite its endangered status as identified by UNESCO, will not merely survive but flourish, reclaiming its rightful place for all to cherish and speak.
