Imagine struggling with everyday tasks such as picking up a prescription, shopping for groceries or finding transportation to medical appointments. Even more, imagine feeling lonely with little connection.  This is the reality for many neighbors in our community who grapple with challenges related to aging, disability, or adversity.

Island Volunteer Caregivers (IVC) was established in 1996 by compassionate local residents who identified the unmet needs of individuals facing various challenges. Their vision was to help residents address obstacles of daily living and to foster connections for those experiencing isolation.
