JADASA, which stands for (Journey Against Domestic And Sexual Abuse) assists survivors with resources to educate, edify and empower. JADASA is a dual-service non-residential agency assisting survivors and their children of domestic and sexual abuse with emergency services, crisis intervention counseling services, and victim advocacy through our various programs such as:
Regroup and Rebuild Program- helps clients with resume writing, employment search, housing searches, and other life skills building to help survivors develop the confidence and independence to move on with their lives.
Recover All Program - assist clients with UBER transportation to receive services, hygiene items, household items, vouchers for food, clothing, and gas, bus/train fare for escape plans, limited utility assistance, emergency cell phones with minutes, emergency overnight hotel stay, etc. or any other type of emergency need directly related to leaving an abusive relationship; as well as assistance with rental/ deposits, application fee.
Mending Brokenness - provides education, empowerment, support, and encouragement to assist battered women; address their economic issues, health concerns, religious and/or generational beliefs; parenting styles, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs; and other special issues that women experience in an abusive relationship.
JDOTS (JADASA Developmental Outreach to Students) is a community-based educational domestic abuse and sexual abuse awareness and prevention curriculum. The goal is to educate kids/pre-teens and teens by developing fundamental tools and resources to deal with the sensitive issues of domestic and sexual abuse; and to identify various types of abuse, including bullying and cyberbullying. To raise awareness on healthy versus unhealthy relationships.
'developHer/Him Community Coding Workshop- work with preteens/teens ages (10-18) with an intro to entrepreneurship and basic mobile app development. This workshop is about creating a business with presentations from local business owners and creating basic mobile apps as a means to generate residual income to combat financial abuse.
