St. Louis Jewish Community Center

A nonprofit organization

The Jewish Community Center ("the J") has been an integral part of the St. Louis community since 1880. Through our three campuses - the Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur, the Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield, and Camp Sabra at the Lake of the Ozarks -- the J serves people within five core service areas:

• Early Childhood Education
• Day and Resident Camp
• Culture & Education
• Group Social Services (including senior nutrition and inclusion programs)
• Fitness & Wellness

The J strives to be an adaptable, dynamic resource - committed to each member of our community. Each of our five service areas and each individual program has developed very specific departmental and programmatic goals by which we measure success and evaluate outcomes. We have set goals that enable our J to grow and achieve our mission while fostering an environment of teamwork. Some examples of this effort are:

1) Serving Members: We focus on serving members and specifically member groups that are and will become increasingly more relevant to the J in the near future - for example, youth, young adults, and aging baby boomers.

2) Excellence in Programming: As an inclusive agency, we strive to achieve excellence in our programming for our entire community.

3) Financial Sustainability: We focus on near-term funding challenges and building long-term financial security for the J.
