Jefferson Educational Society

The Jefferson Educational Society (JES) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank, serving the Erie, Pennsylvania region by engaging the community in civil civic discourse through publications, a civic leadership academy, programming, and its annual, nationally recognized, Global Summit lecture series. Serving 975 members, with over 120 programs, and hundreds of publications annually, the JES has also graduated 250 25–45-year-olds over the last decade through its civic leadership academy. The JES shines a light, through programming and publications, on complex, relevant issues focused on the advancement of civic progress at one flagship location and five satellite locations throughout Erie County.
