JEFFERSONVILLE TOWNSHIP LIBRARY FOUNDATION

A nonprofit organization

$250 raised by 4 donors

Founded in 2015, the Jeffersonville Township Public Library Foundation supports early literacy and life-long learning by raising funds for the Jeffersonville Township Public Library.  It sponsors projects that would not otherwise be possible with taxpayer dollars, including the "A Book for Every Child" program.  This project allows every child who signs up for their first library card to choose a free, age-appropriate book to keep.  The Foundation also supports Code Louisville at the Jeffersonville library, which teaches  students the technical skills they need to get better jobs in the technology sector.  The Foundation's most recent effort is to raise funds for the Know and Grow Garden on the roof of their Jeffersonville location.   So far this year, the Foundation has raised about $5,000 to supplement a grant to build the garden.  All funds donated to the Foundation during Give for Good Louisville 2023 support the betterment of our communities.
