Jess Roan Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Jess Roan taught drafting at Caprock High School from 1963-1996 and during that time impacted the lives of 100s of students who went on to use the skills learned in his class to become architects, engineers, and draftspersons.  After his passing in 2019, the Jess Roan Foundation was established to provide scholarships to Caprock High School students that want to pursue a career in Architecture, Engineering or Education.  Since the first scholarship was given in 2020, the foundation has awarded over $20,000 in scholarships from funds raised mostly by former students.  It is our desire to one day raise enough money to award 4 year scholarships of $20,000 to each recipient and we know that is acheivable.  We humbly ask that you help us to achieve that goal by giving to our organization through the Panhandle Gives.

The Jess Roan Foundation is more than a scholarship fund; it is a community of believers in the power of education, the value of hard work, and the importance of service.  We extend an invitation to all who share our commitment to honoring Mr. Roan's legacy.  Join us in our mission to empower the next generation of professionals and educators.  Together, let's forge a brighter future, built upon the principles of integrity, creativity, and service.  Thank you in advance for your support!
