The Jewel Box Children's Theater Company

At The Jewel Box Children’s Theater Company, our holistic approach to children’s theater fosters confidence, creativity, artistic expression, self advocacy and a collaborative spirit.  With a focus on Arts equity our programming is inclusive and accessible offering free classes in music and theater throughout the city traveling to school, library and park sites in historically underserved areas of our community. The Jewel Box Studio on the West Side of Long Beach offers free and low cost classes year round including our family friendly Free Fridays workshops. As the resident Children’s Theater Company at the Long Beach Playhouse, we offer scholarships and give students the opportunity to hone their skills and create original plays and musicals at Long Beach’s oldest and most beloved theater. Collectively our programming reaches over 2,000 children annually! At Jewel Box we work to create meaningful programming centering long beach youth, helping to build strong, vibrant artistic communities where children thrive!
