Who We Are

The Jewish Community Center of Scranton (JCC) serves as a premier center for adult and family health, wellness, and educational programming for both the Jewish and broader community. Our programs strengthen community connections, foster family togetherness, and support personal growth, while embracing Jewish values, Jewish and Israeli culture, celebration, and meaningful partnerships. Everyone is welcome to participate in JCC programs and services.

The JCC is dedicated to fulfilling its mission through year-round programming that serves individuals at every stage of life—from youth and families to older adults. Our offerings promote healthy living and nurture physical, emotional, cultural, and educational well-being. We proudly serve residents of Lackawanna County and surrounding counties through our fitness facilities and a wide range of wellness programs.

In addition, our Early Learning Center provides high-quality child care and preschool education, and our summer camp serves children ages 3–13. We offer innovative recreational, educational, cultural, and social programs for youth, adults, and seniors.

Donations to the JCC help ensure access to affordable programs and provide scholarships for individuals and families facing financial challenges. Our programs also support older adults in combating social isolation, assist individuals managing chronic illness, and help low-income families access educational enrichment, preschool, and child care—strengthening the health and vitality of our entire community.
