How Federation Makes an Impact Right Here in Western CT
- We provide funding to food pantries in Torrington, Danbury, Newtown and Southbury
- We provide funds to families and children in crisis for medical needs, wheelchairs, basic needs assistance, help with paying utility bills, buying winter clothes for children and more
- We send Jewish kids to overnight camp and provide tuition assistance
- We send Jewish kids to day camp and for study in Israel
- We support literacy programs in greater Danbury to insure children are able to read
- We provide college scholarships in keeping with our commitment to education
- We make home visits to lonely seniors including Holocaust survivors
- We offer bi-monthly kosher lunch programs with entertainment
- We feature cultural programs and invite timely speakers to discuss relevant issues
- We join with other CT Federations in support of legislation to keep us safe, to support Israel and to oppose anti-Semitism and all forms of hatred and bias
- We provide free Jewish book subscriptions for families throughout Western CT through PJ Library
- We are the place, real and virtual, for Jewish life in western CT
