Jewish Family and Community Services

A nonprofit organization

The JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry addresses the immediate needs of community members experiencing food insecurity as well as the underlying causes of hunger. It is one of only five pantries in the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank service area that is open five days per week; offers food on an emergency basis to anyone living in Allegheny County; and consistently offers food items that meet the diverse dietary needs of individuals in the community.

For 25 years, the JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry has been a trusted source of support in the community-open five days a week and providing kosher, halal, and culturally appropriate food to meet the diverse needs of our neighbors.

We are facing a critical moment. Twice the number of people are relying on the pantry each month. Food costs more, and funding is being slashed. You play a vital role in getting our community the support they need. It's not just a donation; it's a lifeline to nourishment and stability.

Your gift today means we can provide dignity and care one meal at a time. Every $30 donated supports 90 healthy meals.

Let's make today count! Please make a monthly tax-deductible donation so no members of our community go hungry.

Testimonials

"I am a retired health care professional, who spent his career promoting good nutrition as a gateway to good health.   Food insecurity is a feeling no human being should experience.   I want to be there to play a part in alleviating this feeling."
- Paul D., JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry Volunteer and Donor
