Joe Andruzzi Foundation

Our mission at the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is to provide help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most. JAF is committed to removing financial barriers that can prevent cancer patients from accessing or finishing treatment.  Financial stress often accompanies a cancer diagnosis. JAF helps with critical, everyday needs through our Financial Assistance, Food Security, Extraordinary Needs, and Treatment Transportation Programs.  In addition, JAF also (Up)Beat Events to patient recipients where they and their families can gather to have fun and forget about cancer for a little while. 

Since 2008, JAF has granted more than $13.7 million in support to cancer patients - any age, any type of cancer - throughout New England. The Foundation works with social workers and patient navigators at more than 100 hospitals to identify patients and families in need.  JAF offers financial support for rent/mortgage, utilities, car payments/repairs, food, rides to treatment, and unexpected costs such as dental work or fertility preservation in advance of treatment. JAF does not pay for medical expenses or credit card debit. 

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation was co-founded by 3x Super Bowl Champion and former New England Patriot Joe Andruzzi and, his wife, Jen, who serves as President and CEO.  The nonprofit was created after Joe's own battle with non-Hodgkin's Burkitt's lymphoma. 

In 2025 alone, JAF awarded over $97,718 to 146 unique cancer patients from New Hampshire and 350 of their family members, which included:

• $70,672 in Financial Assistance Grants, covering household expenses such as mortgage/rent, utilities, insurance, car payments/repairs paid directly to creditors
• $26,446 in Food Assistance Grants via grocery store gift cards mailed directly to patients' homes.
• 62% of those served received assistance from more than one JAF program.
