Joshua's Great Things

Joshua's Great Things was started in memory of our son, Joshua, who battled brain cancer his entire life. We know how important research is and how the hope of better treatment options can truly help a family during difficult times. Also, we have experienced the extreme challenges of treatment and hospitalizations and know that a little help with the basic necessities can go a long way.

We are teaming together with local research doctors to fund innovative research projects that will lead to clinical trials for pediatric brain cancer treatments. We are excited about the current projects that hope to treat patients differently, if needed, an essential part of personalized approaches to cancer care.

Our Family Support Program provides gift cards to families who have a child receiving treatment for brain cancer. We work with local hospital social workers and then work directly with families to provide them a gift card that will best meet their family needs. These gift cards have helped pay for weekly grocery expenses, gas for the many trips back and forth to the hospital and also to provide a family meal out at a favorite restaurant. We want the families to make the most of the time together!
