Junior League of Greater Covington

The Junior League of Greater Covington is an organization of women whose Mission is to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. 

The Junior League of Greater Covington was founded in 1977, and since that time, our members have been actively involved in the community through participation in worthwhile and ongoing community improvement projects and events. Our goal is to develop the potential of women and to improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. 

Nearing our 50th Anniversary, we remain committed to continuing our transformative work throughout St. Tammany.

Support Our Signature Community Projects
For over 20 years we have hosted our annual Girls Health Day, a one-day series of demonstrations and workshops to educate girls aged 8-14 on important health and wellness issues.

2027 also marks the 20th Anniversary of Project Prom, our annual boutique experience helping local high school girls prepare for their special night. Attendees enjoy a personalized shopping experience, prom dress, pair of shoes, and accessories—all free of charge!

Cultivating the next generation of women leaders, we also help support local college women continue their studies with the Susan Lenoir Junior League Women in Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a young woman who demonstrates exceptional leadership potential, a spirit of volunteerism, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
