Karla Smith Behavioral Health offers the following services which impact thousands of families throughout the greater St. Louis Metropolitan area annually. KSBH primarily serves the young adult and adult populations. The following programs change lives each day.
Clinical Services
EmpowerU: EmpowerU is a family centered Outpatient Treatment program serving young adults and their support networks. The comprehensive therapeutic model promotes a lifestyle change that is learned through education, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and life skills coaching. Our young adults graduate from our program living a recovery lifestyle, ready to achieve independence, and surrounded by a network that understands and supports them longterm in their recovery journey.
Therapy: For individuals and families, we offer a broad spectrum of therapeutic specialities with licensed professionals to address every individual or family's specific needs.
Support Services
Our support groups provide strategies and education to families affected by the mental health problems of a love one or to families who grieve a suicide loss.
Education Programs
Think About It: A Middle/High School based workshop that begins the dialogue with students, parents, faculty and staff about mental illness, metal health and how to replace the stigma of mental illness with education, awareness and increased peer support and access to treatment.
Open Door: This employee assistance program provides workshops and individual mental health and substance use assistance to an employer's employees and their families.
