Mission

Killer Whale Tales is a 501 (c) 3 environmental education program that uses storytelling and field based science to inspire students to take an active role in the conservation of Pacific Northwest killer whales and their habitat.

Description

KWT's environmental science curriculum is designed to promote stewardship of the Southern Resident Killer Whales and their critical habitat. KWT's curriculum teaches school children about the orcas'complex individual and social behaviors and the human impacts on the species in order to capture children's attention and imaginations. By telling stories about these beautiful creatures, a gateway is opened for teaching about environmental field science and the importance of environmental conservation.
