KITM Agency-Based Services address the mental, cognitive, and behavioral health of children whose families are suffering from trauma due to their parents' separation or divorce. KITM is a nationally accredited non-profit agency specializing in providing services that are unavailable elsewhere in the greater St. Louis region. KITM has been providing counseling, education, and support to families transitioning to a new way of life due to separation, divorce, and remarriage successfully since 1977.

In addition to emotional issues, families going through separation and divorce are financially burdened due to separating households, attorney fees, etc., leaving many unable to pay for counseling services for their children. KITM provides counseling services on a sliding scale fee process, and based on the families' income, they pay what they can afford. KITM is committed to breaking down financial barriers to accessing mental health services. As a result, KITM has made a promise to the community to never turn a family away due to an inability to pay for much-needed counseling services for their children.

KITM's core service and preferred modality of treatment are Group and Individual Counseling for Children ages 3 1/2 to 18. These services are specifically designed to improve mental health, develop positive coping skills, and reduce negative behaviors for children experiencing traumatic family transitions related to separation, divorce, and remarriage.
