Kitsap Animal Rescue & Education (KARE)

Weasley’s story starts off promising. He came into the local shelter as a stray and was  adopted by a loving family. This family had him for about 8 years but then had to relocate due to the Navy. Unfortunately, their new place only allowed one pet and they had to make the hard decision to only take their dog. 

Without many other options, Weasley stayed in the empty home while KARE looked for a home. As with all our adoptable pets, Weasley needed to see a veterinarian for up to date vaccinations and an exam. During the exam, the veterinarian determined that Weasley needed multiple tooth extractions. As most of you know, dental work is expensive! So KARE decided to get some other estimates, while still looking for a forever home for Weasley. 

Thankfully, all the stars aligned, and we found the perfect home for Weasley! They were also a military family and were excited that they were finally settled enough to have a pet! We wanted Weasley to feel comfortable in his new home, prior to dental procedure, so after a couple months we were able to get him into NW Spay and Neuter Clinic with their newly opened dental clinic! 

Weasley is all healed up now and is sooo loved! He even has his own social media page! KARE is proud that we can help our local military community and thank you all for your service.
