Koinonia of Columbia

Koinonia of Columbia is a movement of people who seek to be a racially-reconciling, healing presence in the Eau Claire community who are anchored in our steadfast dependence on God and one another. We aspire to build community together through Christ by tapping into the skills, knowledge, talents and resources of the people of Eau Claire and through partnerships. Anchored deep like a tree at a riverside... Flying in formation together... So that all may know COMMUNITY... KOINONIA!

As an asset-based community development (ABCD) organization, Koinonia envisions a diverse network of compassionate people who are anchored deep like a tree at a riverside in the belief that every individual can know and celebrate their God-given skills and talents. When we fly in formation together and when we live and work together toward the common good, all may know community.

Koinonia is passionate about building relationships that strengthen the community. It is our goal to identify local leaders and ensure that they are in places of influence and leadership within their community. This is at the heart of asset-based community development. Like any community, Eau Claire is filled with assets. Koinonia invests in the lives of the children of the community as its greatest asset. Through our summer enrichment program, our after school program and our weekly mothers' support group, we are seeing lives changed!
