Lackey Clinic

A nonprofit organization

$111,893 raised by 215 donors

Our mission is to provide skilled, compassionate healthcare and counseling to the medically disadvantaged in a manner that honors the name of Jesus Christ.

We are a faith-based nonprofit providing free and charitable healthcare to uninsured adults in Virginia. Our patients are the working class who earn too much to qualify for Virginia Medicaid but not enough to afford quality health insurance. We offer free medical care, dental care, eye care, virtual care, free and low-cost prescriptions, behavioral health services, connected care, and spiritual care.

April 20th marked 30 years since the Clinic was co-founded by Dr. Jim and Cooka Shaw, who responded to God's calling in Matthew 25:40 to serve. Over the years Lackey Clinic has grown and changed in response to the needs of our patients, yet our mission remains the same as it was when Dr. Jim and Cooka founded Lackey Clinic — to serve in a manner that honors the name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for helping us care for the uninsured in our community!
