Established in 1968, La Frontera has pioneered behavioral health and substance abuse services for southern Arizonians through multiple facets in order to assist adults, children and families with innovative solutions to address acute and chronic hardships and struggles. It is La Frontera's principles and treatments that has paved the way for expansion to provide quality direct care to southern Arizonians and has established La Frontera as an essential non-profit service agency in Southern Arizona.
La Frontera's diverse professional staff provide numerous treatment methods to help adults, children and families with behavioral health and substance abuse services through outpatient clinics, residential treatment programs, crisis services, inpatient treatment, housing, and homeless outreach. The organization's ever expanding service lines aim to meet the needs of the growing behavioral health and substance abuse needs of the southern Arizona population.
La Frontera's outpatient clinics provide service lines including medication management, case management, therapy/counseling, group therapy, nursing, employment, medication assisted therapy for substance abuse, intensive outpatient group programming, domestic violence groups, dui services, homeless outreach, and day programs to accommodate the needs of varying demographics, cultures and populations in Southern Arizona. For specific populations, the outpatient clinics also provide general outpatient medical treatment. La Frontera has several residential facilities to facilitate immersed treatments for substance abuse and behavioral health clientele to further promote recovery and wellness.

Many of La Paloma's programs are community, home, and school-based that includes foster care, group homes, family preservation and reunification, truancy and crisis prevention, and counseling ( individual, group, family).
In addition, La Paloma's Residential Group Homes, provide specialized services to adolescent girls, boys and their families. La Paloma creates a caring, structured, and stable environment that provides youngsters and their families with an opportunity to learn how to lead healthy, productive lives together.
