| The Lairdsville Fire Company and Ambulance is dedicated to providing exceptional medical and fire services delivered by a highly skilled, educated , and professional staff. We educate the communities we serve in our role in the response, treatment, and transport of the sick and injured as well as firefighting. Our mission is to prevent and suppress fires, educate and rescue citizens, provide emergency medical services, promote public safety, and foster community relations. We operate in fiscally responsible manner as in integral part of the community. We promptly and professionally serve the needs of our community with pride, dedication, and excellence, never failing to deliver quality life saving services with the highest level of integrity, commitment, teamwork and community engagement. The Lairdsvville Community Volunteer Fire Company and EMS has been operating since February 9, 1950. We are a strictly volunteer organization that relies solely on the generosity of our communities that we serve. We have approximately 35 volunteer members and are consistently and actively recruiting more members. |

The Lairdsville Community Volunteer Fire Department and EMS currently provides first due services to Franklin, Penn, Moreland, and Jordan Township. We provide Mutual Aid services to any departments that are in need of additional support. We have traveled out of our immediate jurisdiction to render support in the event of a large fire or medical emergency. Our First Due response area consists of approximately 100 miles of road. We host fundraising dinners and regularly deliver extra free meals to residents within our community. We host a community day for residents to explore what we do as a volunteer organization and to provide educational materials to the public related to safety. We also participate in Fire Prevention week at the schools in our community. We are working towards hosting a summer camp for children in our communities for six weekends (similar to Camp Cadet) called Camp First Responder, to introduce the youth to firefighting, EMT, and safety measures that they can use in their daily lives. |
