At L'Arche St. Louis, we are people with and without intellectual disabilities sharing life as part of a community belonging to an International Federation. Mutual relationships and trust in God are at the heart of our journey together. We celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need for one another.

This year, we are embarking on an exciting journey of growth! We currently have three homes in the St. Louis area where adults with and without disabilities live and celebrate together, and we are breaking ground on a fourth home. We also support several individuals living with family through our Family Support program, working together on independent skill development and providing opportunities to access the larger community. In both programs, we work to achieve the highest quality of life for our Core Members - those with intellectual disabilities who are at the core of our mission.

We provide self-directed holistic care (physical, emotional, social, spiritual, occupational, etc.) in homes and daytime services supported by staff who have opportunities for personal and professional growth. L'Arche creates a model of care that is an example to other agencies and others in relationship with people with disabilities. We share this mission and model of care with students of a variety of ages through our educational outreach and with the wider St. Louis community through monthly and seasonal social events.
