Licking Valley Singers Inc

“The Licking Valley Singers Community Choir began in the fall of 2009. Funded by the Intuitional Grant program through the Maysville Community and Technical College/Licking Valley Campus, the Licking Valley Singers had its premiere performance in November of 2009 as part of the Cynthiana Arts Council’s Autumn Afternoon program. Our debut performance included four songs learned over an 8-week session.

Since its inception, the Licking Valley Singers has developed into a mainstay of Harrison County’s cultural arts community and has defined itself as a wonderful music opportunity for participants and audience alike. LV Singers is now incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit organization and is run by a Board of Directors voted on yearly by the members of the choir. LV Singers continues to be supported by MCTC/LVC as well as other businesses, organizations, and individuals throughout the community. Since 2009 this community choir has grown in number of participants and in overall quality...

It is exciting for me to look at the possibilities that lie ahead for the LV Singers. With a good foundation and a strong organization to take on the numerous tasks that go into sustaining a community choir like ours, its future is certainly bright. It is our collective love of singing and the individual commitment you each make to the Licking Valley Singers that brings pride to our community choir and makes being your director so rewarding.
