Legacy Institute for Financial Empowerment

The Legacy Institute for Financial Education (LIFE) exists to improve financial stability, provide workforce development, and build generational wealth in our community.

LIFE believes that with the proper support and resources, every household in our region can become financially stable. LIFE provides this support and access to resources that benefit these families along their financial journey.

Our programming is divided between two departments: Financial Opportunities Center (FOC) and LIFE Works. The FOC provides one-on-one financial, employment, and income supports coaching.

LIFE Works consists of three vocational training programs which also serve the community as social enterprises: LIFE Tech (Information Technology), LIFE Build (Carpentry), and LIFE Farms (Food Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Organic Vegetable Farming).

Our service area includes Angelina County, Nacogdoches County, and San Augustine County. We are looking to expand our physical presence into new counties each year, but we are able to serve any prospective client wherever they are through remote meetings.
