Lighthouse Academy at Newburg/Lighthouse Promise, Inc.

Lighthouse Academy at Newburg, also known as Lighthouse Promise, Inc., has served the Louisville community for more than 20 years as a free, out-of-school time program dedicated to helping at-risk youth succeed. Founded to provide a safe haven for students, its mission is to offer educational, spiritual, and economic programs that help children grow academically, socially, and personally. Lighthouse primarily serves Kindergarten through 8th grade students with tutoring in reading, math, science, and technology, homework assistance, and enrichment activities that build confidence, leadership, and social-emotional skills. Recognized as an endorsed learning place by Jefferson County Public Schools, the organization has consistently exceeded Metro Louisville’s Out-of-School Time Quality Standards. Beyond academics, Lighthouse provides healthy meals, mentorship, and a welcoming environment where students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. With a holistic approach that blends academic rigor, character development, and community engagement, Lighthouse continues to empower the next generation of leaders at no cost to families.
