LISTEN Community Services

LISTEN Community Services provides critical services and supports to those in need in the Upper Valley region. By connecting our neighbors in need with a variety of resources, we are making sure that those who are the most vulnerable—families struggling to make ends meet, seniors, people who have lost their jobs—can stay in their homes, have heat and electricity, keep food in their cupboards, and so much more.

We also address unique community needs that we know have a huge impact on quality of life, such as through our summer camp scholarships for children, holiday assistance for families, vouchers for clothing and household goods at our thrift stores, and gas & auto repair assistance. By addressing so many crucial determinants of well-being, we improve the health, resiliency, and ability of community members to achieve independence. Simply put, we aim to ensure people are not simply surviving―but moving forward to rebuild and thrive in the long-term. 

For 50 years, LISTEN has been on the front lines providing this vital support for your neighbors in the Upper Valley. We’re here. But we can’t do it alone. With the increased cost of so many day-to-day staples right now, the need is great. The demand for LISTEN’s help with services such as food, housing, and utility assistance is at levels we have never seen in the Upper Valley. For some of your neighbors, this means more missed payments, missed medications, and missed meals.
