Little Britches Therapeutic Riding has been serving people with disabilities and their families for over 45 years.  Our mission is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities through the movement of the horse. Therapeutic Riding and equine activities have been shown to improve physical strength, facilitate sensory integration, and provide recreation for a lifetime. Our program is offered at Tophet Road Farm in Roxbury, our principal location, May through November. In addition, we offer early spring and late fall sessions at Shepaug High School's Agriscience Academy in Washington, CT.  This past year, we served 107 riders from 27 surrounding towns.

There are many therapeutic attributes to equine therapies, but the reality that our participants have access to a sport is itself a benefit. The demographic we serve is often left on the sidelines, unable to participate in traditional sports and leisure activities. Little Britches allows these individuals to be at the center of the activity, sports stars in their own right.

Join us in supporting this journey for others, so we can provide this crucial, life-enhancing, beneficial activity to countless riders far into the future.
