Little Wings of Hope was founded in 2010 by Eileen & Guy Granata following the death of their daughter Bethany from an accidential overdose. It was their desire to create a foundation that provided support to young adults who struggle with chemical dependency and their families, to offer support and encouragement that recovery is possible, and to end the stigma of mental illness & addiction.

Mental illness and addiction affects many families in many forms. Through the Bethany R. Granata Endowed Scholarship at Caron Treatment Center. Resources are available to support those who wish to accept help.
This includes financial help for young adults who seek treatment as well as encouragement for the parents and family members who are also affected. We believe that no matter what happened in the past, or what the current situation is, there is help available for those who truly want it. Little Wings of Hope is here to provide afflicted families with the resources needed to take the first step to recovery.
Allegheny County, like much of Pennsylvania, is in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic and it is vitally important that our residents have access to the best and most effective treatment and information to support their recovery from opioid use disorders. We are committed to increase public awareness, organize community-based events and provide resources both educationally and financially to families in the addiction struggle.
A group of supporters, just regular people, each with their own unique talents and dedication, from very diverse backgrounds, but all having been touched in one way or another by substance abuse, addiction, or sadly, death, now make up the Board of Directors for this non-profit organization.
In the midst of this national opioid crisis that has taken the lives of many of our loved ones, we are here to effect change in our community, no matter how difficult that road may be. We are determined, committed and passionate about this mission. We will move forward with steady and thoughtful acts to accomplish these goals.
