Louisiana Museum Foundation's (LMF) mission is to preserve, present and promote Louisiana's history and culture through the provision of services in support of the collections, exhibitions and educational programming of the Louisiana State Museum (LSM).

The Louisiana Museum Foundation (LMF) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that conducts many activities on behalf of or in support of the Louisiana State Museum (LSM) by raising awareness of LSM's programs and properties, providing assistance in raising community support and administering funds for collections care, exhibitions, public programming and maintenance of many state-owned historic and other facilities entrusted to the LSM. The Louisiana Museum Foundation (LMF) is the heartbeat behind all Louisiana State Museums. We're the force that keeps the past alive - preserving, presenting, and promoting Louisiana's vibrant history and culture - making sure it's not just history, but a living, breathing part of today.
