Louisville Children's Film Festival

Our mission at Louisville Children’s Film Festival is to support the educational development of children in Louisville, inspiring openness and curiosity about the world through the showing of high-quality, diverse films. The films chosen by Louisville Children’s Film Festival are selected because they speak to children, parents, and families across age ranges and cultures.

Who We Are

Louisville Children's Film Festival turns 2 this year! This Festival --the only one of its kind devoted to kids and families in Greater Louisville-- celebrates the best and brightest in children's cinema with live performances, animation, features, shorts, historical films and hands-on workshops for the filmmakers of tomorrow. Our next festival will take place February 22-27, 2019.

This year, we are working with local creative talent including JCPS teachers, the Louisville Free Public Library, and many talented kids! Kids introduce films, run filmmaking workshops, and troubleshoot the technology! They also make the promotional videos and films for the Festival. We need help to offer the Festival movies and programs for free for all children and families. This will allow us to realize our mission and reach as many kids and families as possible.

We are 100% volunteer! Funds raised during Give for Good will directly support screenings + programs during the festival in a range of neighborhood places.
