Louvis Services

A nonprofit organization

For a decade, Louvis Services has been working to end homelessness in New Orleans, focusing on empowerment and hope. We create safe, sustainable, and supportive environments by constructing tiny homes integrated with essential services and our unique edible landscape program. Our innovative approach is built on collaboration with partners like the city, state, and Tulane's URBANbuild program. Your contribution directly fuels construction, thanks to an all-volunteer effort with minimal overhead. As we celebrate 10 years, we're dedicated to expanding our capacity to build more homes for years into the future.

For ten years, with the unwavering support of hundreds of donors like you, Louvis Services has been working to end homelessness in New Orleans by creating new homes in the Lower Ninth Ward.
We like to think of the efforts to gather the funds to construct the house as the effort to build the house itself-every small contribution, like a single nail, is critical for a stable, strong structure.

Every house is made of tens of thousands of nails:
-Some are small, like finishing nails;
-Some nails are common, but sturdy;
-Some boost extra-large size and strength for bigger jobs;
But, from the smallest to the sturdiest, every contribution is vital, no matter the size.

When complex problems like homelessness or big solutions like building housing seem too large for any single contribution to have an impact, we remember the strength we can achieve together when we join by the hundreds to hold our little piece of the house together. It will be a symbol of community, built on the strength of a thousand acts of kindness, a testament to the fact that even the smallest contribution, when joined with others, can create something truly remarkable.
