Love in Action Outreach

The mission of Love in Action Outreach is to serve and administer to the needs of others with love according to the Word of God; to actively demonstrate God's love through empowerment; by providing food, clothing, and other available resources; and to positively impact families, our community, our city, and ultimately our state by demonstrating God's love and compassion for those in need.

Love in Action Outreach (LIAO) is a client-choice food pantry located in eastern New Orleans. We are currently serving over 2500 food insecure households throughout Orleans Parish each month. We operate Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 3 pm. By Thursday each week, our stock of food has dwindled significantly, which forces us to turn many of our clients away. We need YOUR help in allowing us to say "yes" when people ask for quality nutritious products.Help us reach our goal of $20,000 by donating $10 (or more!)
LIAO uses the "choice-pantry" model, which is similar to a grocery store. Available food products are displayed and clients have freedom in making their own food choices for themselves and their families. Your donation will go to not only continuing to serve the community, it will help us purchase much needed food products that many of our disabled, elderly, and economically disadvantaged individuals cannot afford. There are several food items that are requested each day that are not available. Many of these items are necessary for our community to eat a nutritious meal each day. Love is our number one priority and in order to keep that priority number one we want to be able to provide food to every person that walks through our door.
