Love146 (Give Local CCF)

Love146’s mission is to end child sex trafficking and exploitation. Love146 prioritizes the following goals as an organization: 1) support victims of child trafficking through survivor care; 2) assist professionals and caregivers in identifying, understanding, and appropriately responding to victims of child trafficking through training; 3) reduce children’s risk for human trafficking through prevention education; and 4) support the eradication of child trafficking through community engagement.

Since its founding, Love146 has served over 55,000 children who have been or are at high-risk of being trafficked and over 13,000 adults who represent professionals, parents, and caregivers serving at-risk children. Love146 has served over 500 youth in CT through Survivor Care services and anticipates this number to continue increasing throughout 2020.

Love146 is the primary provider of specialized services for victims of child trafficking in Connecticut. The CT Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the US Department of Justice have identified the importance of maintaining efforts to combat new instances of child sex trafficking and re-exploitation in this environment of emotional, health, and economic uncertainty.

Since its founding, Love146 has served over 55,000 children who have been or are at high-risk of being trafficked and over 13,000 adults who represent professionals, parents, and caregivers serving at-risk children. In 2019, Love146 served 172 youth in CT. At any given time over the past year, 15-20 youth have been on a wait list to receive Love146's Survivor Care services in CT.
